Hay Swimming Pool is manged by the charity, Friends of Hay Swimming Pool. The charity formerly formed in September 2018 to save the pool and building from being demolished. The trustees are fully committed to ensuring the future of this site. We are passionate about children having the opportunity to learn to swim as we understand it is an ESSENTIAL like skill .
We want to be able to offer access to affordable swimming. This does present us with challenges when dealing with an old building with aging fixtures and fittings. However thanks to the generosity of local communities, grants commercial and private donations we have invested in a new pool liner and cover, The refurbishments won't stop there and with continued support our aim , overtime, is to restore the whole building and systems,
We really want you to enjoy using this facility but at the same time we implore you to respect the effort it has taken to keep the pool open by adhering to the conditions of hire. A great deal of time, effort and responsibility is associated with maintaining a body of water, please treat it kindly
